For this particular assignment, the lecturer’s guidance and patient instruction greatly deepened my understanding of this section, though c...

First, we searched for reference images and videos of both original and pose-based walks, then recreated the walking pose. By observing the references, we identified the key extreme poses such as contact, down, pass, and up. We were then instructed to animate two types of walk cycles: the vanilla walk and the attitude walk. A vanilla walk cycle is a natural and standard walk where the character moves normally without any added emotion or style. In comparison, the attitude walk adds personality and emotion to the movement, making th...

Mr. Kamal explained the module and what we would be learning throughout the semester. It was simple but important because it set the direction for the weeks ahead. Besides that, he showed us how to use and control the UV Sphere and set it into different timing movements.  Week 2 This week focused on timing and spacing. I learned that the number of drawings in an action changes how long it lasts on screen. With more frames, the action looks slower, and with fewer frames, it feels faster and sharper. Timing also changes the mood of the action. For example, a head turn can look fo...

The story was shortened and the script adjusted to make it more concise. Decisions on visual style were discussed, like including some combination of 3D environments with 2D characters, while the main character design was simplified. The storyboard was prioritised and completed to keep the workflow on track.  Week 2 This week, we marked the start of the animation phase. After confirming the storyboard, character design, and color scheme, work began on animating the story with a focus on clear movement and storytelling. At the same time, progress on 3D interior and exterior models started in preparation for combining both...
