PROJECT 1 A
Week2: Practical ( Collage Elements )

Figure 1.0 : Final Composition of Collage Element

Reflection:  I really believe that I need to make some improvements in my observation in this specific practice. I must use an inclusive viewpoint to compose the piece for this task. A collage that has too many photographs may feel cluttered; one that has too few photos could feel empty. As a result, in order to avoid certain situations, we need to have a strong understanding of space. Using contras is one of the best methods for dealing with design in any field, including architecture, cinematography, and graphic design. Contras consequently creates a lot of tension in a work so, I need to improve my understanding on contras, in order to create a better design.

Week3: Practical (Digital Collage)

Figure 1.1 : Final Composition of Digital Collage

Reflections: Compared to practical collage, digital collage is simpler and allows for a greater creative area. This is explained by the fact that digital collage combines textures and pictures using digital tools like photo editing software. They can convey creativity and display a collection of images, your most pertinent work, or fresh concepts you may have as a visual artist by editing a collage utilizing digital software. Making adjustments to the contrast, picture gradient, or even the color scheme is simpler while making this collage. A digital collage may be an excellent tool for analyzing one's beliefs and exposing one's emotional condition without requiring spoken contact. By making them, I pick up a lot of skills, including using Photoshop's layers and effects. Learning them is an enjoyable time.

PROJECT 1B
Week5: HEARST MANSION (Shazam)

Figure 1.2 : Final Composition of Shazam

Reflections: Lectures have provided two images for this assignment. This project taught me how to retouch the image by placing the character "Shazam" within a large hall smoothly using the rapid selection tool, layer mask, filter, and color correction. I discovered that this project is both simple to complete and helpful in everyday life.

Week5: HEARST MANSION (MY PHOTO VERSION)

Figure 1.3 : Final Composition of My photo Version Shazam

Reflections: The difficult aspect of this project is that we have to shoot a self-portrait utilizing the proper lighting methods that we were taught in lecture. The image needs to be kept at eye level, meaning the characters' eyes should be at the same height. A room's perception of depth can be altered by lighting, giving the impression that the space is larger than it actually is. Lighting affects design and also impacts how we feel. Therefore, I've been struggling to have the right angle and lightning when I'm shooting myself. The ways of retouching myself inside this image is also same with the first project, so i don't really face difficulty on this task except the right lighting way to shoot a photo.

Week6: DIGITAL IMAGING EXERCISE 1 (RECOLORING BLACK & WHITE)

Figure 1.4 : Final Composition of Recoloring Black & White Exercise 1

Reflections: I first thought that this project would be quite challenging for me because I was having trouble painting the right spot and maintaining appealing pen control. This is new to me since in this lecture session, I discovered that an uncolored picture may be colored into such an important image simply by adding layers and modifying the blending mood. Although black and white photography sometimes results in a subtle disconnection from the subject matter, it is fantastic for expressing emotion. Given that humans see in color, it seems sense that when we view a subject in a color image, we will naturally feel more sympathetic or connected to them. Therefore, this is a great experience of learning it.

Week6: DIGITAL IMAGING EXERCISE 2  PROJECT 1 (RECOLORING BLACK & WHITE)

Figure 1.5 : Final Composition of Recoloring Black & White Exercise 2 Project 1

Reflections: Three photos were given to us by the lecturers for this work: the main, uncolored image, the skin-color image, and the hair-color image. Our job is to color this black and white image by extracting the colors from the two given color photos. Here's an advanced practice that teaches you how to recolor an uncolored image. To add further details, we are instructed to use the fast selection tool and mask tool to pick the hair, apply layers and solid color, and change the blending mode. Follow the same procedures again, and the colorful image will appear swiftly and neatly. In my opinion, this method of applying and changing colors is superior than the first project.

Week6: DIGITAL IMAGING EXERCISE 2  PROJECT 2 (RECOLORING BLACK & WHITE)

Figure 1.5 : Final Composition of Recoloring Black & White Exercise 2 Project 2

Reflections: To begin with this assignment, we must choose one black and white, uncolored photograph. We need to look for skin and hair references on the internet before coloring the image. I chose this picture because it challenges me more because of the ornaments and the asymmetrical hairdo; as a result, I want to practice it so that I can create better designs and utilize Photoshop in the future. There are many details in this picture to complete, such as the hairdo, ornaments, and nails. Compared to the prior assignment, I am able to apply it more quickly and clearly.
