This movement help us to different ship and also have better understanding what are we going for, and what assistant material that we need for the following task. We are told to record our own voice by using our phone to record the dialog for this task.
Week 4: For this week, Mr. Martin told us how to edit the video ( adding sound effect, transition , volume level, speeding, duration , adjustment on tuning male voice into women; women into male voice) by showing the previous student task work. He did give some brief for this project, the caution part and also what we should submit in the following week.
Week 9: Prepare all stop mmotion materials for next week shooting.
TASK
- 3 tracks for dialogue, one character one track.
- 4 tracks for sound effects,
- 3 tracks for ambience sound.
I make some adjustment on the dialog sound of mine, to match the voice of the character in the video. I adjusted the semi tones lower to follow the example of the men's voice. For the rest of the dialog, I do also make some changes, to make different characteristic voice, make clear conversation of the characteristic , avoid chaotic hearing to the audience.
- To create a phone voice sound effect
- Use the Parametric Equalizer under Filter & EQ in the effect rack
- Lower Bass and Treble
- Raise Mid Range between 500Hz to 2kHz
- To create a muffled sound effect:
- Keep Bass the same
- Lower Treble to the bottom
- Raise Mid Range
- To create echo sound effects:
- Apply Reverb
- Decay Time:
- Specifies how many milliseconds the reverb takes to decay 60 dB.Longer values give longer reverb tails.
- Pre‑Delay Time:
- Specifies how many milliseconds the reverb takes to build to its maximum amplitude.
- Perception:
- Simulates irregularities in the environment
- Dry:
- To add subtle spaciousness, set the Dry percentage higher; to achieve a special effect, set the Dry percentage lower.
- Wet:
- To add subtle spaciousness to a track, keep the Wet percentage lower than the Dry percentage.
