INSTRUCTION

CLASS SUMMARY

Week 5: The production shoot is scheduled for next week in the E1.01 Photo Studio. Please complete all necessary preparations for your respective roles in advance.

Week 6: Download the footage and audio from your production shoot and edit a draft with synchronized dialogues. For the editing process, don't follow the storyboard order; experiment with something interesting instead.

Week 9: Prepare all materials below for week 10 shooting. For the paper cut, please have all the characters, and props ready for the shooting. 

TASK_Exercise 1_Production Shoot

For this particular task, we were separated into random groups in order to remake our own version of some part of films from " The Everything, Everywhere, All At Once". Each member was in charge in different kinds of positions in the production, I was in charge of the lighting. 


Before starting, Mr. Martin have provided storyboards and video clips references at the google drive. The shooting took place at the photo studio. 



After done with the shoots, we are told to edit hte shoots in different color gradings and make color collections on them such as teal orange, bluish, greenish, brownish, desaturation, and b&w.

TASK_Exercise 2_Insta & Tiktok

For this particular assignment, we are require to create a one minit tiktok/Instagram video in vertical format. To create more posibility, Mr.Martin allow us to use capcut for this particular assignment.

Stop motion trial shooting: 

Instruction for task: Please prepare all materials listed below for Week 10 shooting. For the paper cut, ensure all characters and props are ready. Each group, consisting of 4-5 members, will attend only one hour of class time for the VSP APL24 final project trial shoot. All group members are required to support the group leader in preparing stop-motion materials and must share the expenses. 

The venue is the Photo Studio, E1.01. For the clay animation, focus on "The Cost of the Call," 1st scene from 00:04-00:13. For the paper cut animation, work on "Adopt Don't Shop," 2nd scene from 00:19-00:43.



FEEDBACK

Week 6 
The lighting should be in a high direction to have good lighting capture, the changing color from white to yellow should be above 1800. 

Week 7
Experiment with creative editing, such as making a trailer, and collaborate with friends on filming specific scenes for Exercise 02.

REFLECTION

From understanding the technical aspects of lighting and color grading to exploring creative editing techniques, each task and project has contributed significantly to my growth. Working in teams and receiving constructive feedback from Mr. Martin has also enhanced my ability to collaborate and improve my work. I look forward to applying these skills in future projects and continuing to develop as a creative media professional.
