  • PART 1 (DOUBLE EXPOSURE FOLLOW TUTORIAL)
  • For this particular assignment, we are taught to double exposure an photography by merging multiple images. By learning this topic, we can make many effects to attract readers interest on that particular image such as tilt-shift, fake reflection, detail textured, converting results to black and white, work with silhouette, combining two random photo, make it fascinating, use shadow.
  • Five images are provided to us at the beginning to blend in and create the illusion of double exposure

Figure 1.2: Bird Images

Figure 1.3:The Clouds Image

  • After choosing the picture, crop out the major portion by using the select and mask tool.
  • Next, I adjusted the opacity (brush size and hardness) using the overlay section. To get more specific, pick the refine edge brush tool and modify the brush's size and hardness when brushing the lashes and hair

  • Figure 1.4: Selecting the main area of the image
    • In order to get a better match between the exposure and image color, we are instructed to modify the contrast for the portrait layer before to applying the double exposure effect. Not to mention, create a solid color called "bg" for later use

Figure 1.5 & 1.6 : Increasing the contrast for portrait layer

    • Add in the forest image and make clipping mask. Click the "bg" solid color and match the image background color with eye dropper.

    Figure 1.7: Clipping mask

    • Add on the birds and clouds to the image, blend them in the original image by choosing and aply the darken effect.

    • Mr. Fauzi Yusoff provided me with some input, pointing out that I needed to change the opacity of my final composition to make it look more clearer. I thus want to set a new challenge for myself: I'll use the same web resources to create a new composition, excluding the rear view photo.
