INSTRUCTION

Class Summaries

Week 13: Reinforced secondary action and drag, maintaining alignment and even spacing for realistic dynamics.

Week 14: Focused on consultations to review and perfect work.

Project 3

For this particular project, we need to create a 15 second action animation with the character. I start with storyboard and make a lead for my ideas. Here's a easy storyboard for my idea, i run out of time for this project so it was a quick time job for me.

I draw several scene by using illustrator, for every scene.

I imported it into Adobe Animate, and every scene was adjusted to the correct level. However, the timing is still not right, so improving animation techniques in the future might be necessary. As for the details, there is still room for perfection, and there is a lot to learn.

REFLECTION

Experience

I started by storyboarding my ideas and quickly sketched out scenes in Illustrator. Due to time constraints, I couldn’t spend as much time refining the details as I would have liked. After importing everything into Adobe Animate, I adjusted the scenes and tried to make sure everything aligned. Still, the timing felt off, and the animation could use more polish.

Observation

This project really showed how crucial it is to plan out the animation with a storyboard, even if you’re on a tight timeline. Importing the scenes into Adobe Animate and adjusting them took a lot of time, but there were still issues with timing and fluidity in the final result. It became clear that while I managed to get the scenes together, there’s a lot of room to improve both the pacing and the detail to make the animation feel more natural.

Findings

This project emphasized the importance of things like secondary actions and keeping the spacing and alignment consistent for more realistic movement, something we learned in later lessons. Even though I had limited time, I learned that getting the timing right and adding more detail is key to making the animation feel smooth and believable. Looking ahead, I’ll focus on better time management and refining the animation more carefully to achieve a better end result.
