Figure 1.2: The hair color image

  • To copy the chosen area, we must use the marquee tool to choose the color of the skin and hair. Then, we must use the shortcut key, M ctrl c+v . Next, copy the chosen area to the white picture, give it a new layer name, by naming it hair, skin or whatever features that you are applying layer on . Use the eyedropper tool to extract the color of the skin and hair. Additionally, adjust the sample size to 5 by 5 Average. Then, paint the highlight to the upper right or left of the grayscale image using an eyedropper. To choose the color for the highlight and midtone shadow, repeat the process.

  • We are requested to select one black & white uncolored image to start a new task.

Figure 1.9 : The image that I choose for this task

  • To do so, we must search images online for skin hair references to recolor the image. The color that I extract from the ring for the wearing, as for the lady is for the hair, skin and eye color.

Figure 2.0: The online images that I'm using during extracting the colors

  • I used all the techniques and ways that have been taught last exercise to recolor the entire image. I felt that it is easier for me to control and apply the color and expectation that I wanted to the images. I shall make more improvement on learning photoshop and the techniques to use it by making more practices.
